Twelve Weeks of Star Magic

Star Drenched:
Weekly Rituals

Be a Shining Star Among the Stars in the Sky

Begins September 20, 2026

Every week for twelve weeks, I will lead a different starlit ritual.

Each ritual is transformative beauty that improves our lives inside and out. Expect ecstatic mystical experiences that can make worldly and spiritual dreams come true. Benefits like prosperity gained with ease. And calm in the midst of a storm.

Important sidebar: Ecstatic mysticism is often associated with drugs. I do not use drugs. We don’t need mind-altering chemicals to enter ecstatic states. Joy is innate to us. It is our inheritance as children of Fey Gods. My rituals walk you through the veil between the mundane world and the gorgeous Fey realms.

We do each ritual together. I lead you through it, step by step. A complete beginner can do it. A longtime Shaman will experience power and depths that meet their needs.

Starlit magic is one of the most beautiful ritual experiences I know. One reason I’m offering this event is to drench myself in starlight. You too.

Starlit enchantments are some of the most beneficial spells—at least the starry material that I channel.

Scoffers insist the starry-eyed mystic chases illusions. Stunning experiences prove otherwise. My starry rites bring me immense worldly results that might otherwise elude me.

Starlit empowerment seems even more important in our impossible times. The rituals nurture me spiritually and increases my worldly success in ways little else does.

The following examples show the wide range of magic that will help us improve our lives. Each magic is also an opportunity to revel in beauty and wonder:

We will do a ritual based on the Milky Way, a swath of stars that arcs across the sky and is well known in lore. I was stunned, twenty years ago, when I came across this painting in a museum:

The Birth of the Milky

Tarot Star card

We will also work with the above Tarot Star card.

As well as with a fairytale about stars. My mother brought the story to life when I was a child in the ‘50s. The experience changed my life, and it still uplifts me.

The rituals will experientially immerse us in the Mysteries of two Italian Gods—Diana Lucifera and Lucifer MorningStar. Lucifera and Lucifer are Latin for Light Bearer. Diana Lucifera is also known as Magna Mater (Great Mother Creator of All). Lucifer MorningStar is widely known as a stellar God. They are also the Italian Fairy Queen and King.

I discovered the above photograph in the ‘80s, in The Great Mother by Erich Neumann. The artistry of this Roman statue, her torch, and everything else in the photo, including the statue’s title—Diana Lucifera—penetrated my core, shifting my entire cosmology.

The above were only examples. There is more. I will gather together starlight rituals I’ve channeled over decades, so we can reap the metaphysical and worldly benefits of the rituals’ power as a cohesive body of work.

Every week’s magic will be significant, and the combination of all the rites together will be even greater. And it is fine if you miss a few weeks, because the weeks you attend will combine powerfully and effectively.

This twelve-week event will not be repeated.

It is a Shamanic journey possible only in the current mystical and mundane landscape.

Also, I can facilitate this specific journey only once because my being is capable of doing it only once. My being was meant to do it one time. Oral tradition is the moment.

Rituals for Weirdos

These twelve rituals are for the weirdest of the weird—individuals like me.

There used to be an expression: The country is slanted, and all the loose nuts rolled to California. Even in the old, wild San Francisco decades ago, I was considered weird by most people there.

My type of weirdos: These rituals are for visionaries who wander in the gorgeous darkness of Mysteries, because it is how they find their way through life. Or visionaries who believe justice and beauty can prevail. Or weirdos because they want to feel the presence of Gods, and not just as rare occurrences, but as ongoing companionship. Weirdos who hunger for more than theories, who long for visceral Fey-touched experiences and cellular knowledge of magic. Weirdos who hope that fairytales and myths will come alive.

Magic in My Cauldron for You

In addition to our weekly ceremony, a spell will simmer in my cauldron to send you peace, success, good luck, and protection.

The weekly spells combine with my cauldron spell for a double whammy.

You Also Receive Personalized Rituals

Magic is personal, not like the estranged mechanistic world. I will channel material for each participant to help them overcome challenges and reach goals. You don’t even need to tell me what’s going on with you.

Fairy Witch, Francesca De Grandis, is the bestselling author of Be a Goddess!. She is also a star-drenched dragon, lucky charm, star-child who has been a full-time community Witch for forty years. She uses magic to fight colonizer culture and help wild hearts thrive, in long-distance classes, psychic readings, and healings. Her Goddess spirituality embraces practical magic. Trained from birth in a Shamanic family tradition, her Witchcraft is blessed by ancestors. Her Fairy Witchcraft is also called Faerie Shamanism. European Witchcraft has traditionally been Shamanic for many practitioners. Francesca developed Shamanic theories, methods, and rituals that have been a seminal influence on modern Paganism and alternative spirituality.

Upcoming Teleseminar

Update: This class has been rescheduled. I hope our starting it a few weeks later than intended, and moving it from Thursday to Friday, makes it possible for you to attend this extraordinary event, since it won’t occur again for three years.

Sleep and Other Gods—Applied Pantheism; Life as a Fey-Druid

Nurture your ability to hear Nature’s music. Join its song to heal and empower self, Gaia, and the Tree of Life.

For decades, I’ve practiced what I’ve privately defined as Applied Pantheism or Faerie Taoism. I share these personal terms now, because I want to teach more of my Druidic material to fellow seekers.

My loving, protective Gods seem to arrange a flow whereby special people visit this site. So, though some people glibly choose pantheism to avoid inner growth or spiritual rigor, I think you’re like me—wanting the full pantheistic possibility. I created this curriculum for you.

The written word can’t describe oral tradition lessons. And the attempt makes the lessons sound shallow or easily gotten elsewhere. Or what you already know. Or it sounds like hype. Nevertheless, I’ll give a few examples of what we’ll address:
* Relaxed, easygoing interaction with plants, stones, and animals, for guidance, nurturance, company, and mutual aid
* Your innate—but possibly untapped or not completely used—ability to find soul nourishment in Fey realms
* The exact pantheist modalities you personally need for maximum inner transformation
* Courage to serve community joyfully (even when “haters gonna hate”).

This teleseminar is suitable to entry-level beginners and adepts.

Nuts and bolts:
* These are group meetings by phone. To participate, just dial the phone from anywhere.
* The class meets seven consecutive Fridays, noon to 1:00 E.S.T., starting Friday April 11.
* Reserve Friday, May 30, same time, for a makeup class in case I’m unavailable for one of the planned sessions.
* Tuition is $250. Your usual long-distance charges apply, and appear on your phone bill. The event’s area code is a U.S. #.
* Register online at http://www.well.com/user/zthirdrd/specialevent.html
* Or pay by check or money order.
* Upon receipt of payment,
I email you event phone number, etc.
* Scholarship and work trade available. Refunds unavailable.
* Call me—814-337-2490—for more info or to discuss scholarship, trade, or payment plan. Do not email me.
* Participants are personally responsible for the consequences of their voluntary participation.

Paper Cutting and Candle Magic

Papercutting, Horned God, FDG, 1994

I find folk art intrinsically magical. And I find the art of papercutting wondrous in and of itself: I am amazed that something as humble as an old piece of paper can be recycled—using nothing more than a pair of scissors—into an object of beauty. I just can’t get enough of it.

I may not always be good at it, but I love doing it. I’ve filled my home—and that of my friends’—with paper cuttings since the 70s, if not earlier.

I also came up with a way paper cutting can augment the power of candle magic. Here it is:

1) Choose a magical goal—e.g. love, money, confidence.

2) Choose a simple symbol or symbols of your magical goal. E.g. a heart for a love spell. I often like to do more than one spell on a candle at a time. The house blessing candle below is also in remembrance of my mom; she read playing cards; so, in addition to symbols that represent houseblessing for me, I also chose the shapes of the suits in her honor.

A House Blessing

Optional: Also add symbols you find powerful, just to add more “juice” to the spell. For example, in the cutting to the left, I added a seven pointed star.

3) Cut the symbol(s) into a piece of paper that will wrap around the glass container of a seven-day candle. Use fancy paper, plain paper, newspaper, a pretty page from a mag, whatever.

When doing this kind of papercutting, I usually am not concerned about making it fancy or artistically “right.” I might make a quick rough cutting, instead of the more laborious precise efforts I made for the above Horned God cutting. I can be a perfectionist when making that sort of cutting but, when cutting for candle magic, I usually prefer ease—to just have fun, keep it simple, unless I feel like taking time on making it ornate and “just so” visually.

4) Wrap your glass container, fastening the ends of the paper together with a bit of tape.

Be safe: Do not let the paper wrapping extend even to the lip of the glass container; do not wrap paper directly around a candle itself; do not leave a candle burning unattended.

4) Light your candle as you make a wish for your goal. That’s it! Simple, fun, powerful, and a chance to be creative.

Another example: For a money spell, I cut the word “cash” into paper. Here is the paper cutting before I wrapped it around the candle.

Below is the paper cutting for my above house blessing, laid out flat. (It is the reverse side so, being a magazine page, has entirely different print on it.)

Blessing #2 and Gratitude

Detail, Faerie Landscape, Outlaw Bunny

As the relaunch of this site approaches, I pray to all gods I hold dear, World Tree, the lines which I come from and which I create, and the rest of my Faerie crew, please keep safe and bless this site.

Please keep safe and bless all who support this site through their direct work on it or simply by visiting in good cheer.

Please keep safe and bless me and mine, all my work and all my life.

May this site be maximum fun and beauty, helping cosmos, my Gods, Tree of life, the lineages I come from and which I create, the rest of my Faerie crew, and all beings stay safe, whole, ecstatic.

May this site be maximum service, helping all be safe, whole, ecstatic.

Keep me and my work in your light
that my own light be bright—a beacon.
May all I do and am be a shining beacon
for those who should see it—not a beacon to me,
because I am too frail to carry anyone,
but a beacon leading people to Divinity, as they see it,
that they be loved so fully as to be stardrenched.

May I shine bright in joy.

May I shine free from harm.

May I shine hidden from anyone who’d try to
extinguish my light or otherwise harm me and mine.

May all for whom I am the right spiritual guide find me.

May this site create abundance for me and tribe.

May this site and all my work
be a welcoming hearth to star-dusted travelers.

May all I do here be according to the Divine Will.

Thank you. So be it.

Dear visitor, a bit of the above blessing is adapted from an earlier prayer I wrote on my other site.

On another note: Humbled by blessings in my life, I had to paint this banner to express gratitude. It hangs in my kitchen. I put it here to send thanks into the universe, to you who bless me—this includes a site visitor who blesses me simply by a single good-willed visit here, whether now or any time since the 90s when the site started.

It is such joy to love my gods, ancestors, and the rest of my community—the joy of loving a blessing itself.

I feel excited wonder about all the blessings this site has received during our revamp of it, so want to share about that in upcoming blogs.

Thank you for visiting.

Kathi, my webmaster. I painted it in gratitude for and homage to this amazing woman
