What Is a Wisdom Adventure?

A Wisdom Adventure is a Shamanic quest tailored to you. Its focus is helping you achieve your dearest spiritual and material goals. We meet for six, private, Shamanic sessions, during which we go on an otherworldly journey. I channel a personalized Shamanic journey for you with rituals and wisdoms tailored to your goals, circumstances, past experiences, blocks, strengths, and spirit.

We meet by phone or, if you prefer, Zoom.

Though I channel a journey for you, you can yay or nay any of my choices. I honor your right to control your journey. Further down in this post, you will see that you can choose the course a session takes, as little or as much as you want.

Since the ’80s, Shamans, artists, healers, political leaders, and others who want to live fully have gone on Wisdom Adventures with me. Also called “Wisdom Coaching,” these six private visits help you create your destiny and fulfill it.

Wholeness, prosperity, spiritual fulfillment, greatness, better sex, artistic achievements? Something else? Whatever you want, let’s go! Don’t know what you want? I’ll help you figure it out. Whatever you need materially and spiritually can be on the table. Wisdom Coaching is tailored to you.

What Do We Do during Wisdom Adventure Meetings?

First, we decide: Should your journey last six weeks, three months. or six months (shall we meet every week, every two weeks, or once a month, respectively)?

Then we discuss your primary goal(s)—or help you discover it.

Building block by building block, I offer tools, inspiration, and power when you’re following a dream, facing a challenge, embracing a rare opportunity, or doing all three. Each session builds on the ones before it, making the sum greater than its parts. On the road of life, I’m by your side, a guide and cheerleader every step of the way.

Even in our first session, we journey far into the Shamanic realms, where transformation abounds. If you’ve worked with me, you know I facilitate a process whereby you quickly achieve great depths and stunning changes.

What do I actually do for you during our meetings? Whatever is needed! You are unique, with unique needs. I have an extensive otherworldly toolkit from my years of training and experience. It provides many options so you get what you need to transform your life.

Guided by Deity and the moment, we go where the sacred road leads. Each moment of a visit, I intuit what is needed and how to address that need. You might receive answers to mundane questions, then the next minute be led into a mystical experience that increases your trust of your own wisdom. A few minutes later, we could do a ritual in which you find spiritual healing or a dynamite marketing plan for your new business. I helped a gymnast choose the best set of moves for his Olympic performance.

I often combine the practical and the mystical.

In every session, you receive direct spiritual transmissions. Spiritual transmissions are an ancient Faery Faith method that increases the serenity, power, and safety of your Shamanic journey, fosters personal growth, deepens the experiential nature of our journey, and adds good luck to your life overall.

You’re the Star of Your Wisdom Adventure

If you want to take a tack other than one I suggest in a session, I am your servant. You choose the course a session takes, as little or as much as you want. If a method or topic I feel divinely directed toward doesn’t feel right to you, you’re the star. You and I are both conduits for the divine. This is your adventure.

Extensive, Lasting Change

Client after client has called my work miraculous because of how much improvement it facilitates. Seemingly immoveable obstacles to happiness leave, seemingly impossible opportunities come, seemingly impossible victories abound.

I don’t put rhetorical Band-Aids on deep soul-wounds. Participants of Wisdom Adventures report permanent healing.

How to Go On Your Personalized Shamanic Adventure:

Who is Francesca De Grandis?

De Grandis is the best-selling author of “Be a Goddess!” She’s a full-time community Shaman, as a teacher, guide, healer, and artist. Her work couples Goddess mysticism with practical magic and a down-to-earth philosophy.

Raised in a traditional Strega family tradition that has Celtic Shamanism in its heritage—the family is originally from France—she practices an ancient European witchcraft that is a form of Faerie Shamanism.

Hurt in the Name of Spirituality?
A Seven-Week Healing Ritual

I am going to lead a seven-week healing ritual for people who have been hurt by spiritual teachers or groups. The ritual will also help you find power you lost due to such injuries.

Suitable whether the problem was caused by mainstream religion or an alternative teacher or group.

Whether the hurt comes from a Christian, pagan, new ager, or other, there are many reasons pain is caused: fundamentalism (fundamentalism can be found in any spiritual context, even pagan), ineptitude, jealousy, competitiveness, and unsound teachings are just a few sources of damage. There are also many types of injuries that result but, whatever the type one suffers, it might be extensive and have even ruined one’s life.

I am motivated to offer this ritual because, in my decades as a community shaman, I have seen it all, a zillions injuries in the name of spirituality.

Here are a few examples of issues I have addressed:
1) I’ve helped a lot of people recognize their power, beauty, and unique value, after they had been demoralized by invalidating teachers and groups who treated them as it they were “less than.” Often, the injured party was spiritually beaten up by mainstream religion, so turned to alternative situations, only to be trampled all over again, by the very people they had hoped would understand and be supportive.
2) I have been repeatedly asked to fix a botched initiation. I can not tell you how many times someone asked me, “Can you help? So and so was initiated, and it didn’t go right!”
3) I have facilitated the healing and empowerment of students whose teachers could not handle the techniques they taught, so the energy got out of hand and hurt students, who were then shamed and deserted, instead of helped.
4) Careless teachers introduced students to techniques they were in no way ready for. They experienced psychic burnout, negative entities, or other problems. I helped pick up the pieces and fix the situation.
6) Some people didn’t know what the wound actually was, they only knew they were not the same anymore, they felt lost or unwholesome or vaguely “wrong.”

The ritual is relevant to most types of injuries, but if you have any doubt, feel free to call me.

This will be a seven week ritual, not a therapy, discussion, or support group. There will be plenty of support, but if you need therapy, or a good many long dialogs, this is not the right process for you. Dialog will happen, but is not the core process. What I do offer is
* expert shamanic healing of your spirit
* limited enrollment so you receive individualized attention
* rituals tailored to your specific needs
* safe, ethical tools that empower you to self-heal when needed, but to reach out when that is a more appropriate choice. The first option helps you feel your power to be in control, while the second allows support when needed.

It might be hard to understand how I could be caring and sensitive to your needs, without there always being a lot of dialog. I cannot explain the process I use, it has to be  experienced. But I can say a few things:
* The ritual is not the same shamanic stuff you might have already tried. So if that didn’t work, or not work fully enough, my approach adds new elements.
* I have spent my life learning traditional shamanic techniques, developing innovative healing modalities, and perfecting my skills. I trained in this field fulltime. This was not academic theory but skill training. Then I worked fulltime as a spiritual guide. My hands-on experience is massive. If you want more info about how solid my background is, read my bio.
* Look into your heart, to know whether this group feels safe and right for you.

We meet in a group phone call. No computer or special equipment needed. Just dial your phone.

The ritual is without prerequisites and suitable for newbies. I individualize material, so adepts who need help past their own methods will be given substantive support. The group involves no religious doctrine. This is about your spirituality, whatever that may be.

This group can be used as one of the electives required to participate in Third Road Advanced Shamanic Training.

The group meets every THURSDAY, for a total of seven meetings, starting JULY 12. The meeting goes from 6:00 PM (EST) to 7:00. RESERVE Thursday, AUGUST 30, same time, for a makeup class in case I’m unavailable for one of the planned sessions.

Yup, we got modern conveniences to go along with the ancient mysteries you will find here.

Stardusted Traveler, come get your weary soul shined. Have your spirit refreshed by its own beauty, then shanghaied by its own magic.

Have your peculiar ways oohed and awed at—everyone here, including you, is the main attraction.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am the authentic, the original, the amazing and death-defying Francesca De Grandis. That translates Great Freedom, your purveyor of shamanic wonders and mystical madness. Curator of curiosities, middle management for the Chaos Gods, seer, guide, and utter fool.

I make up fancy phrases to describe myself, like bardic brat. They’re true as tar.

My mother was a fortuneteller, my father hit the road when he was 12, hard traveling. His mother was a “showgirl.” After the war, dad went down south and got into trouble. We don’t know what it was, but the story is “he hung out with hillbillies.” I do remember he loved folk music. This is all truth, it’s family history, told the first time on the web right now. I am an old woman, too old to hide those tales anymore.

That’s a bit of my tale, a bit of my myth—real and honest. Be your myth here. Dragons, Faeries, poets, and other inhabitants of the fantastic, please walk your myths alongside mine, I long for company on the spiritual path.

 On a more serious note, Terry Pratchett wrote “Things that try to look like things often do look more like things than things.” Ok, quoting Terry is hardly a way to convince most people that I even can be serious. But
I take my work as a shamanic guide and healer seriously, and I am good at it. And I have
fun. Walking an ecstatic path frees you from restrictive either/or rules. And building a convincing persona as Oh-Great-Shaman wouldn’t leave time to serve community. Can I hear a “So mote it be?”

Magic can be quiet, subtle. I am blessed that, amidst my loud joy and silliness, some people “see” me—just another flawed human whom, for some reason, the Divine uses as a shaman.

As we prepped the relaunch, I started blogging here—just four blogs sharing my personal process renewing the site, and what we revamped. I hope you read them. And this blog has info that will help you find your way around.

Revitalizing This Site

Welcome, old visitors and new!

My friends and I have done massive prep to revitalize this site since late 2011. I’ve been jazzed about adding witchy witch stuff, old-fashioned craft, Druidic wonders, bardic innovations, intelligent blogs, dancing atoms (um, I couldn’t get dancing girls), and more.

 Boys and girls, come one, come all, this site has never been typical pagan.

We are kind of doing a site re-launch. I’m posting this before we do it, so you can read this when you arrive. Welcome, welcome, fellow stardusted traveler.

Past 10 years, the site received few additions and updates, because of my health. Despite that, a strong flow of visitors continued. That was awesome for me, but being able to finally make substantive changes is mega-fun. There are so many wild witchy things I want to do.

I have a mass of pieces written, built up over years.

You’ll see stuff added all the time, a whole new look, and a commitment to beauty of spirit.

 We’ll keep existing material (except bits no longer relevant) —I’m an ol’ witch who doesn’t throw out the tried and true. (This site is your grandmother. Online Wicca since 1995; I’ll tell you about that another time.)

Site navigation: The site is on three servers. (It’s a long and grassroots story.)

As of 2012, new Grimoire entries will be in my blog. Grimoire entries prior to 2012 will not be in the blog. The blog search engine and sidebar help find blog entries specific to your interests. The main Grimoire page will not have links to new Grimoire entries.

Part of the long story: 1994, we ran out of space for the site. I couldn’t afford to buy any, so put some pages on the domain of my initiate and dear friend Dawnwalker. Dawn is a trickster extraordinaire and a generous loving heart. (I’m blessed by amazing people the Goddess sends me to train. I may not get zillions of students in my classes, but they’re awesome fellow seekers, we walk together and explore.). Free use of Dawn’s domain meant my site could hold more free stuff for visitors.

So I split the site between the original domain on well.com and Dawn’s, which is feri.com. Dawn, thank you, thank you. I love you. (Dear site visitor, do not confuse my tradition with Feri just because my initiate owns feri.com. Dawn used the term differently than it is used now.)

To revitalize the site, we’ve added a third domain, www.stardrenched.com, which is mostly for the site’s blog. (A long story for a later date).

My cauldron fire burned bright in a 2011 Solstice ritual—the first time I could have a cauldron lit in my home in years. A good sign that the cauldron was relit! My enthusiasm about revitalizing the site has been huge. My internal flame about it is bright. That flame, fueled by love of my Gods and their ways, and by Their endless love of us, is what I share in this post to you. May your hearth fire, heart fire, inner fire burn bright!

It’s a huge site. Even after I announce the “revitalized site” as “launched,” it will take us months if not a few years to work our way through creating a new look, updating text, etc. Omigoddess, there might be sadly needed updates for a while! Please forgive that and wonky layouts, etc., as we learn new software.
