Faerie Tea Party

Faerie tale, mystic art, and bedtime story for Pagan children of all ages. Do you drink moon tea? I wanted star tea, so made up a recipe for it.

TeaPartyOBOnce upon a time, two people went on a picnic. After a yummy meal, they noticed: They were falling in love! Mooning into each other’s eyes, they wiled away the afternoon, talking about butterflies, truth, moonlight, the meaning of life, and other important topics.

When it started to get dark, they packed up the picnic. Captured by each other’s eyes, they overlooked a teacup and saucer.

Love enchants everything it touches. So the tea cup and saucer were now magic. Stars came down from the sky to dance in and around the forsaken china.

Faeries joined in, because they are the stars’ best friends—not to mention close relatives.

And that would end the story of a Faerie tea party, except all good fairy tales have a warning: Don’t ever boil stars in water to make star tea. You’ll hurt the stars. And make them angry. You don’t want to know what happens when stars get angry at you. Instead, here’s my personal recipe for star tea:

TeaPartyOBWhen it gets dark, I put room temperature water in a jar, outside if possible. Then I say, “Stars in the sky, please bless this tea tonight.” Then I let the water sit for at least an hour. The stars will happily fill the water with starlight for you. This makes very yummy tea that fills you with magic.

Be a Goddess Training

Would you like to be personally led through the shamanic training program in my book Be a Goddess!? Keep reading.

Be a Goddess! was written for independent use, so a lot of people completed it on their own. But one size does not fit all. To honor that, I am facilitating a group. Honor your particular style!

This will not be oral tradition. Instead, we meet to: support you as you work through the book’s lesson plan; answer questions; and otherwise provide camaraderie and motivation.

Nuts and bolts:
* We meet in group phone meetings, for a total of 8 meetings, every other week. No computer or special equipment needed; just dial the phone to participate.
* In the drop-down menu below, register for the group that meets every other Sunday 4 to 5 pm EST, starting August 11 or the group meeting every other Tues noon to one, EST, starting Aug 13.
* Reserve Sun Nov 24, 4 pm or Tues Nov 26 noon—respectively—for a makeup class in case I’m unavailable for one of the planned sessions.
* You need the book with you at all meetings.
*Total enrollment cost is $250. You might also pay long-distance charges; it depends on your long-distance plan; charges appear on your phone bill. The area code for the event is a U.S. #.
* Upon receipt of payment, your place is reserved, and event phone #, etc., emailed to you. If you need more info, or want to discuss scholarship, trade, or payment plan, call 814-337-2490. Do not email me; my disabilities do not allow me to spend enough time at the computer. No refunds.

BaGCertI made this document especially for the group. Click on it to see it larger and clearer. When you finish our eight meetings, I will email you this graphic, without the watermark on it. Fill in your name and the date to be proud of you.

Free bonus: A private online forum for our Be a Goddess! training group. Participation not required. (I will not take part. There’ll be plenty of time at our phone meetings to ask me questions. The forum allows you to talk freely between group meetings without the book’s author involved. I will, however, monitor the forum for technical problems or inappropriate behavior, so that the environment is safe and supportive.)

And any participant is welcome to phone me with questions a couple of times during the course of the lessons.

Do you want to finish this Faerie training and reap all its power? Scroll down to register, I probably won’t be able to do this group again for five years.

Santa and My New Familiar (Cute Kitty Pics)

As some of you know, Santa is in my pantheon. Being a good pagan god, he is not distant and inaccessible. He visits me all year. In November, he came over and got to know my new familiar.

They had a great time! Look at the pic below, kitty is clearly telling us, “Santa loves me!”

She also said, “And I love Santa!” She wasn’t fibbing, you can see it in her eyes.

Then she told me, “Santa Claus is not a stuck up God. Santa lets me climb him!” The pic below proves it!

(Yup, Santa doesn’t always wear his red suit, sometimes he likes to hang out in a sweatshirt.)

have a great season!

Inherent Magic & Fundie Paganism

Magic is a flow within the fabric of reality. Magic is also a state of being inherent in all living things. Magic is also living in myth, actually living it. And magic is love. Fundamentalist religion, including fundamentalist Wicca, squelches one’s magical being, squelches one’s love, and separates one from the larger flow of loving magic. If you judge others’ magic, your own may weaken.
